Discipline and Punishment

Discipline is to teach, not punish.

Do you fault yourself for not having enough discipline or willpower when it comes to food or fitness? Too often we forget that discipline really means to teach, not to punish. A disciple is a student, not a recipient of behavioral consequences.

When you get off track with your diet or fitness plan, do you beat yourself up over it? Or do you learn where you went awry and get back on track?

I see too many clients come to me feeling defeated, tired of fighting their bodies and exhausted from trying.

Approaching goals from a place of love and gratitude doesn't always come easily or naturally, but once able to let go of the need to control every.little.thing, and listen to the body as our great teacher, we can stop fighting and punishing and begin learning and achieving.
